Fall is my favorite time of the year. It feels like everything slows down and I can breathe again (even though I’m just as busy as ever!).
It’s also when I like to take some time to just relax and read. I’ll admit, I don’t spend much time sitting in a comfortable chair with a good book. I usually listen to audiobooks while I fold the laundry or clean the house. I love that I get the opportunity to “read” while I take care of necessary tasks, but I would like more time to unwind.
So, my fall resolution (don’t judge, it’s a thing) is to spend more time just sitting and reading.
With my resolution in mind, I thought I’d share some of the books I’m looking forward to reading this fall.
Dying Day (Dying for a Living Book 7) by Kory M. Shrum
This is the seventh and final book in Shrum’s Dying for a Living series. I love this series! It’s unique, complex, and full of interesting characters. I’m sad it’s ending, but I can’t wait to see what happens in this final book!
Turtles All the Way Down by John Green
It has been years since Green released a new book, and I have missed him. My favorite book of his (and one of my favorite books ever) is The Fault in Our Stars. It’s a beautifully written, heartbreaking novel, and I loved it. I can’t wait to get my hands on Turtles All the Way Down.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: The Illustrated Edition by J.K. Rowling and Jim Kay
I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan, so this one is a must-have for me. Prisoner of Azkaban is the third book in the series, and it is my favorite. I love the illustrations in the first two books, and I’m excited to see what Jim Kay brings to this story!
What are you looking forward to reading this fall?
I am a fiction writer and freelance editor. When I'm not reading or writing, I can be found learning a new song on the ukulele or obsessing about polar bears. I love traveling and Cinnamon Dolce Lattes.
